You can expect to

BASIS International School Bangkok is seeking an Office Manager Assistant to provide support services to the admissions team that will open the school. The Office Manager Assistant is primarily responsible for aiding the Director of Admissions in the management of all admissions related activities and systems. Are you someone who is energized by meeting new people and building relationships, who is passionate about education? Do you have the drive and hunger to put your skills to good use in the education space?

In this role, you are responsible for putting into play your customer service, organizational, and administrative skills to meet the operational needs of the school. You will assist the admissions team as they guide and follow-up with prospective families throughout the application process.

Reports to: Director of Admissions

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • General Management of administrative detail, keeping projects on schedule
  • Coordinates work flow between offices and entities
  • Updates and pursues delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines
  • Builds and maintain a procedure manual to ensure consistent performance of routines
  • Orders supplies to ensure availability when needed
  • Communication
  • Compose correspondence/reports as required in support of management team
  • Open, handle or disperse mail
  • Arrange and attend conference calls
  • Keeps team updated on new or changing priorities
  • Phone/Email
  • Handle all inquiries within own capacity
  • Arrange "callbacks" and posts on managers calendars
  • Provide back-up materials for callbacks
  • Route calls elsewhere as needed
  • Draft response emails
  • Appointments/Meetings
  • Maintain and manage CEO and other managements calendars
  • Prepare agendas in advance
  • Arrange meeting facilities, refreshments
  • Confidentiality
  • Assures discreet handling of all business and communication
  • Travel
  • Arrange travel through internal or outside agents
  • Prepare itinerary, trip file and supplies
  • Prepare reimbursement reports for expenses
  • Financial Management
  • Develop and maintain electronic and paper files
  • Working with accounting, understands, controls and ensures accuracy of budgets and expenditures

  • Education: Required Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience
  • Fluency in both English and Thai
  • Act, communicate, and possess a professional demeanor
  • Passion for results, strong work ethic, and a winning attitude
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and social media and possess basic computer skills
